Description
What better way to usher in a new line of crochet patterns, than to offer a cardigan in the top down style?
Loving the fit of this cardi — it hangs nicely and is very affordable to crochet. I used Best Value yarn from Mary Maxim and for the contrast, Basic Stitch by Lion Brand (any black #4 weight yarn will do).
Long sleeves gently decrease to the wrist – this is not a loose fitting cardi, although you can alter the body to any size you want.
The #4 weight colorway is Neutral Ombre (Best Value yarn from Mary Maxim) and it crochets up so beautifully – interesting to look at and a breeze to crochet.
The short sleeve DK version is crocheted with Coffee Shop yarn by Premier in Coral Reef.
Several rows of a simple specialty stitch will show off your tonal or solid color yarn.
One of the most versatile pieces in your wardrobe, this will be your go-to cardi!
I’m so excited to publish this design – it’s easy to crochet and has no stitch counts to keep up with – those are up to you.
This is also a SIZE INCLUSIVE pattern — you can crochet this cardigan in any size, using the formulas in the pattern.
And…here’s a huge Bonus: NO SEWING!
Happy Crocheting and love to you all!
