It’s finally here…After crocheting top down style sweaters designed by others, I decided to write my own flexible crochet pattern, to help you create a top down sweater that fits YOU!
That’s why I’m so excited to present this design – it’s easy to crochet and has no stitch counts to keep up with – those are up to you, just to be sure you are not adding stitches or leaving out stitches as you crochet in the round. Bonus: NO SEWING!
Now, as you can see from the photo above, I crocheted this sweater in a solid green and a striped version (Winter Stripes Sweater) AND I crocheted a cowl to keep my neck warm, if needed. Removable so that I don’t get hot in the sweater and have to pull off the sweater, but can remove just the ‘collar’ if I want to cool off a bit.
Both versions are long sleeved and crocheted with worsted (4 weight) yarn. Here is a video describing the solid color version and a bit about the striped version as well:
