A favorite design of mine is a top that can be worn several ways – and this one is no exception. Wear over a tank, a short sleeved top, a long sleeved tee, or even a turtle top or sweater! The yarn I chose is a combination of Dotted Line in the Victory colorway held together with Cotton Fair – in the cream colorway. I was going for a patriotic look, and this one is patriotic but very subtle. Another go round with this pattern would be to choose a deep red or deep blue to pair with a white yarn, like comfy cotton by Lion Brand to give the Vest a more definitive red, white and blue flavor.

Any way you design yours, this is a versatile pattern, as I said, and is very easy to crochet. A quick project to finish, and a great one for gifts – no sleeve length, no neckline depth to worry about – all you need is a hip measurement and a shoulder to hem, and you’re good to go!

All my patterns are NOT sized – this means they can be worn by most anyone – all you need is your hip measurement – grab a hook and the yarn you like, and begin!
