Description
As you may know, spring is approaching and it’s time to lighten up our shawl wardrobe! Let’s crochet a very light shawlette which can be worn with everything from a black formal type dress to a jeans and white shirt outfit. That special shawl pin would be perfect with this Sunrise Shawlette pattern, crocheted with mohair or a light #2 or even a #1 yarn.
I used mohair for this design, which is extremely light – not for warmth — but for a beautiful accessory. You can find some yarn in your stash to try it –
I only used about 250 yards for this small shawlette.
Stitches are simple – and combined to add interest both in the center triangle, as well as the large border which allows for your choice of length and stitches chosen for each row, as you crochet. You can stop any time if you are running out of yarn, or if you reach the perfect length!
I used a hook size #7.0 mm Clover, but you can use any size hook and yarn you desire. As with all my designs, you choose the size, the yarn and the hook to make the garment your own.
Happy Crocheting!
