Description
Create your Sparkling Summer Sweater from a pretty wool blend or cotton and acrylic to take this wearable crochet style into fall. The longer sleeve will keep your arms warmer in cool temps – but not too hot for fall. Winter breezes will blow soon enough. You have plenty of time to crochet this easy sweater and wear it late summer and into autumn.
I designed this sweater with a beautiful neckline and design elements to tie the sweater together – the rib around neckline, sleeve and hem all say the same thing – this sweater is special!
Use either a DK or worsted (shown in a ‘fat’ DK – almost a worsted weight) – the weight of your yarn is up to you – the pattern is designed to allow your choice of yarn and hook size to make this pretty sweater your own.
The yarn I chose for the first go-round of this pattern is Audine Wools DK with a bit of sparkle, hence the name of the design. However, you can choose a sparkly or plain yarn, solid or variegated, or self striping yarn. Those last two choices will produce a sweater that will not show off the ribbing, but will still be a nice creation and a great first round choice for yarn in this design.
Enjoy, and happy crocheting!
