Description
This is a crocheted shawl!
Have you ever wanted a beautiful and functional shawl you could wear in the dead of winter that would keep you warm, and that would be tied down? You might ask, ‘Do those exist?’ I’ve designed this shawl for you!!
The Outlander Shawl is my latest design – a throwback to the earlier days in Europe where women did a full day’s physical work, but looked very feminine and were actually warm in one of these ‘wrap and tie’ shawls.
Nowadays, you might not be living a ‘Pride and Prejudice’ lifestyle. But even while living our easier lifestyle, a cozy warm shawl feels so good. Importantly, it stays in place while we are sending a text, sitting in front of the fire, watching YouTube or cleaning up the kitchen and mopping up.
This shawl is large enough to wrap around you and tie in the back, so that it stays in place.
Wear it with a turtleneck knit or a heavy sweater – it will keep you so warm and allow movement without falling off! I crocheted mine in dark colors, but you could easily use a self striping yarn to totally change up the look, while keeping the structure. I have added stripes in black to this shawl to give interest, but not to shout in loud colors. You may like brighter colors. Whatever your bag, you’ll find a winner here.
Love this with jeans, but a long skirt and boots would take you out and about, looking very put together. I did find it to be very versatile.
Enjoy crocheting your own beautiful Outlander Shawl!
