For those of you who love the Outlander series or just like the styles of knitwear shown on the shows, this Outlander Cape is for you!

If you can crochet and follow directions, you can crochet this beautiful style cape for yourself or a crochet-worthy daughter, niece, sister, grandmother or mom…I designed this cape to be worn over a turtle-neck sweater or just a light blouse with jeans or a pretty skirt and boots for a dressier look.

My yarn of choice is the popular Scarfie yarn by Lion Brand. This is a size 5 weight yarn, partly wool, which crochets up perfectly with this pattern.
The neckline edge is versatile – you can wear the neckline edge turned down like a collar, turned to the inside, or straight up.

Beware that when you wear an Outlander Cape, you might get requests to ‘make one for me’! It is an easy pattern, especially if you make one or two, the subsequent ones will fly off your hook. Think Christmas gifts!
