Millie’s Lace

$5.99

Contrasts in design and matter…
This delicate pullover crocheted in camouflage yarn – what is that about? Looking at the yarn I used for this, it did not appear in the hank as a camouflage pattern, but when I started crocheting, I realized it was exactly that – dyed, whether on purpose or not – ‘pooling’ in a camouflage pattern – giving it a sort of ‘military’ style. So…short for military would be ‘Millie’! That’s why I’m calling this sweater Millie’s Lace.

I decided to continue to create this sweater, which will be much more lovely in a solid or slightly variegated yarn, rather than a patterned one. I will know next time when I fall in love with a yarn, to use my patterned yarns for simple design, and solid ones for my more delicate or intricate stitch designs. Taking my own advice, yet again!

All my patterns are written in conversational style, with few abbreviations and clear directions. My patterns are also designed to fit YOU and are made to your measurements for a perfect fit, whether you prefer a more boxy look, or fitted look in sweaters.

My Millie’s Lace design uses lace stitches in a simple pattern to create interest along the front line of the front fabric. The back fabric can be created with the lace or can be solid stitching to save time, or just because you want to create one with all the interest in the front.

I hope you enjoy crocheting this drapey, lacy top!
