Crocheting with a cotton and linen yarn might be a challenge, but you might choose an acrylic or soft wool to crochet this easy but very striking summer top. Choose a #2 yarn – Cotton Fair or other fingering/sport weight yarn – a mostly cotton with acrylic to help hold its shape.

See those beautiful ribs pop in the bodice section of this sweater. A solid or tonal color will be your best bet, to show off the ribs, which are, of course, are the design element that makes this sweater interesting to observe.

Front post ribs are on a base of double crochets, which makes them pop out and make a beautiful statement.

You need at least one of these in your summer wardrobe – a comfortable, easy to crochet top that is striking and worth the effort to crochet all the ribs at the tops of the front and back fabric.
