Anytime is the perfect time for a new afghan – easy to crochet and interesting to look at. The first one is crocheted with all the perfect Christmas colors – choose rich colors for yours, as well! I chose Red Heart Super Saver to crochet this beautiful small afghan – a coverlet – just enough room for one person to snuggle under on a cool evening. My colorways are Burgundy, Aran and Ombre Green Apple. The colors pop against each other and are so pleasing to look at – I bought 2 skeins of each
deep color and one skein of Aran in Jumbo Super Saver. This was enough to crochet the entire coverlet. I used a K hook (6.5mm).

For my second coverlet (seen above on the right) I crocheted it in spring-type colors –I had these colors in my stash.
