Grab your favorite weight #4 yarn, your J hook and crochet this tee in time to wear to your next neighborhood Block Party!

Now — I have a confession – I used a #3 weight for my contrasting color, which was Lion Brand Comfy Cotton in the Whipped Cream colorway. This is one of the most pleasant summer yarns to work with. Comfy Cotton totally behaves like a #4 yarn, so you can combine it (in my opinion) with a light #4 weight yarn to make this striking tee.

For my prototype, I used very contrasting colors, but you can choose 2 colors that are similar in strength to tone your Block Party down a bit. You can even make 2 Block Party Tees, which will have totally different looks, using the suggestions I’ve just made.

This pattern is easy peasy and affordable too.

To top it off, I have also designed 2 different sleeves for this tee, so you can make your Block Party tees either way!
