Allison Cowl is easy to crochet, but has so much interest that your yarn can be very plain – a solid color, something soft, and this cowl will still be so special. A great gift to make for Christmas or just a winter gift for someone without spending hours and hours of time crocheting it.
I designed this generous cowl (about 30” around) with lots of stitch patterns, but a really quick make – I actually made the second one in a few hours, in front of TV.

Any size yarn will do – you are using measurements to start, so you can also use any size hook you want. As long as you start around 28” – 32” chain, you are good to go!
