Summer is here and, yes, we can crochet tops which are comfortable in warmer temps.

Afternoon Cotton from Premier was my choice for this original design – using pretty summer colors against a stone gray background really makes those vibrant colors pop and the lightweight-ness of the smooth cotton yarn makes this a perfect crochet make for the summer.

Dress it up or down with your choice of jeans, skirt, or dress pants for an evening out.

The unexpected use of lines of color was my focus for this design. Instead of using the pink for all outside edges (bottom, neckline, sleeve hems) I substituted the pretty ‘thistle’ color to edge the sleeves – just to draw a bit of attention to the short caps, giving this summer top the perfect handmade look we love!

This design is an easy one – no increases or decreases except on the last row of the neckline and a smattering on each cap sleeve. Very easy to do. Also, Cecelia will fit YOU the first time you make it. Because I design all my patterns to be size inclusive, just follow my directions to take your specific measurements and crochet this design to those measurements.
