Description
Warm, red, soft yarn – you will love this pullover, crocheted with a DK weight luxury yarn from KnitCrate. Of course, you can use any soft yarn to make this your go-to for those at home cold days – this one is crocheted in wool – a soft alpaca from our friends in South America – so squishy and comfy – just right to slip on when the air is chilly and you reach for your morning coffee.
The ’Spanish Dancer’ name is inspired by both the deep red color and the decorative stitches along the hem, up the sides, over the shoulder, around the neckline and on the sleeve hems. I designed this very subtle decorative element to draw the eye around the pullover – to notice the decorative stitches. They are so subtle, the eye can see them, but is not shocked by so many lines of this design element. Very subtle – that’s what I had in mind when designing this pattern.
Choose a soft yarn, not a busy one with speckles and stripes, etc. Choose a solid color which will allow the decorative stitch design element move the eye of the beholder around the garment, appreciating the attention to detail.
This is another flexible crochet pattern – a pattern not sized, but inclusively sized to fit YOU. Designed to be your size at the hip, waist, neckline and sleeves. Crochet this sweater the length you desire, or make it a ‘crop’ sweater for that ‘something different’ in your wardrobe. A crop over a loose dress and boots is always a cute look. Or the standard ‘wear it with jeans’ which works for most any casual event, or just enjoying your home space. Any size yarn and hook are possible – try a swatch to see if the fabric has enough drape and coverage for you — then go for it!
Happy crocheting!
