Description
Using delicious James Brett yarns, this easy sweater pattern will be your go-to pullover for the late winter and early spring. Wear it with a long sleeve turtleneck for a very warm outfit — or pare down your undergarment to a tank or camisole, crochet it from a lighter yarn, and wear it as a spring sweater, keeping you comfortable on those cool days leading into summer.
With a neckline simply curved for comfort in both front and back, and loose but tailored sleeves, you can wear this design to work, to Church or to just lounge around the house on your day off.
My initial yarn choices for this pattern were chunky marbled tweeds from James Brett, one of my favorite yarn designers. The colors are beautifully matched, wound around each other in a tweedy fashion. The gradual colorways weave in and out of your garment seamlessly as you crochet.
I designed Highlander as a very popular boxy fit. Although, as with all my patterns, you can decide how much ease to add to your side seam to side seam measurement. I added about 16 inches total to my hip measurement to make my sweater fabric a very casual fit.
You can use any yarn, any hook size and crochet it in any size you wish.
My pattern outlines will fit anyone, as the measurements are yours, and adjustments are easy to make Highlander fit you!
Happy Crocheting!
