As promised, here’s the pattern for the Red, White and Blue Crochet Stars!
HOW TO CROCHET A 5-LEG STAR:
Create a Magic Ring and work 15 DC into ring. Tighten. Slip Stitch into top of first DC.
OR Ch 3 and slip stitch to first chain.
Ch 3 and work 14 DC into ring, catching in yarn tail as you crochet around the ring.
Sl st into top of beginning Chain 3. Tighten by pulling yarn tail.
Total count in ring: 15 DC
Work the First leg of 5-leg Star: Ch 6 In the 3rd ch from your hook, SC, HDC into next ch. DC into next ch. TR (treble crochet) into last ch.
Skip 2, slip stitch to top of next DC.
Work 2nd leg as the first leg above.
Work 3 more legs, and sl st to the last DC, Ch 1 and fasten off.
