Description
Combining a Knitted Sweater and Crocheted Edging for both Beginner Knitters and Crocheters!
This easy knit pattern includes some easy crochet edgings which give this beautiful summer tee knit a distinct look. Edgings combine 4X4 knit ribbing, and Half Double Crochet.
This breezy summer tee blends the best of both worlds—knit and crochet—into a lightweight, modern staple you’ll reach for again and again. Designed with airy texture and effortless drape (and plenty of ease!), the piece combines smooth knit fabric with delicate crochet detailing for visual interest and breathability.
Whether you’re looking to expand your skills or simply create something uniquely handcrafted, this pattern offers a satisfying balance of technique and style, resulting in a versatile top — perfect for warm, sunlit days.
My chosen yarn is a DK weight Sierra yarn in 100% cotton – so perfect for this blousy tee. I used size 10.5 knitting needles paired with a 5.5 mm “I” crochet hook to create a seamless boundary between the knitted body and the crocheted edgings.
I’m loving combining these two crafts to design garments that will fit YOU! There are no sizes in my patterns – you use your measurements to construct a garment that will guarantee a good fit the first time you follow the easy instructions in my patterns. No gauges to knit or crochet, no stitch counts to follow. Imagine that!
